Deschutes River

The Deschutes River flows 252 miles from Little Lava Lake in the Oregon
Cascades north through Bend and across the high desert to its confluence
with the Columbia River near The Dalles. The Upper and Middle Deschutes
offer hidden playboating and kayak drops around Bend, while the Lower
Deschutes below Warm Springs is one of the Pacific Northwest's iconic
multi-day float and fly-fishing runs — BLM permit required year-round.
