Eagle River

CO • US

The Eagle River flows 62 miles from the headwaters at Tennessee Pass
through Red Cliff, Minturn, Avon, Edwards, Eagle, and Gypsum to its
confluence with the Colorado River at Dotsero. It's one of Colorado's
best intermediate whitewater rivers, with the Class III-IV Dowd Chute,
several Class II-III commercial reaches, and the mellower lower river
past the town of Eagle. Peak season May–July; late-summer flows become
too low to run below ~300 cfs.
