Gulkana River

AK • US

The Gulkana is a BLM-managed National Wild River in the Copper River
basin and one of Interior Alaska's most popular multi-day floats —
road-accessible at both ends. The main stem from Paxson Lake to Sourdough
is mostly Class II with one portage-or-run Class III-IV rapid (Canyon
Rapids), excellent king-salmon and grayling fishing, and easy wilderness
camping over 3-4 days.
