Sixmile Creek

AK • US

Sixmile Creek, near Hope on the Kenai Peninsula, is the most famous
technical whitewater run in Southcentral Alaska — three distinct canyons
of increasing difficulty. The first two canyons are continuous Class
III-IV; the third canyon is committing Class V in a sheer slot. Cold,
fast, and pool-drop, it's a rite of passage for Alaska boaters and is run
commercially (first two canyons) out of Hope.
