Crutcher's Crossing to Three Forks
🔒 Permit
The Owyhee River drains a vast, roadless high-desert canyon country in
southeastern Oregon, southwestern Idaho, and northern Nevada. The Lower
Owyhee from Rome to Leslie Gulch is one of the West's classic multi-day
desert floats — 65 miles of Class II-III through deep rhyolite canyons
with hot springs and archaeology. Flows are entirely snowmelt-dependent
with a short spring window (typically March-June).
Click any point for details. Sections without stored geometry are drawn as straight put-in → take-out lines — actual courses follow the river. Purple lines = permit-required sections.
